Continuing every Sunday in the WEPC Fellowship Hall. If you only have a few minutes and are looking for a place to connect, come grab a cup of coffee and hear about God’s faithfulness through various testimonies every Sunday. Along with these weekly testimonies, we will be using the devotional “Seeking God’s Face” as we tie the many “stories” of our people to the bigger “Story” of God’s salvation. Contact Joe Brown.
A study of the life of Jesus in a simple, interactive way. Designed for adults with disabilities, their families, and their friends, this study has something for everyone! All are encouraged to join us in Room 35. Contact Steve Byrd.
We use the “Bethesda Series” by seeJesus (www.seejesus.net) to guide our time of fun, Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. This is a coordinated effort with Young Life Capernaum.
This class is open to anyone at WEPC and the community who wants a bible study in simple English. Join us as we build community through the Scriptures. Contact Mary McWhorter.
Join others who, as a response to the love of Christ, are committed to loving and encouraging each other and thinking through how God is moving them in mission. This is a series of evenings with the WEPC pastors on how to take that next step in faith. Join Steve, Kevin and Joe once a month for an evening of worship, the Lord’s Supper, and a series on leadership and the Gospel. Childcare is provided. What does it mean to follow God in today’s climate? What do the doctrines of Christianity have to do with my life, job, marriage now? Take the time this coming Fall and Spring to discover more of the abundant life Jesus offers. The Gospel does change everything. Contact Joe Brown.
Get to know your neighbors! Looking to connect more with others in our church family in a relaxed setting? Looking to get more involved with what’s happening at WEPC but don’t know how? If so, WEPC’s Connection Dinners are for you. From October 15-November 15, we will have 30 dinners taking place throughout Richmond. Sign-ups will start in September. Interested in hosting or co-hosting a dinner? Contact Gary & Julie Wilson.
Beginning October 7, join Michael Oberle and Kevin Greene as they lead us in a study of the fundamentals of our faith. Don’t worry if you haven’t participated in a theology study before. They’ll be taking the group at a pace to make sure everyone is on the same page, and any and all questions are welcome. Feel free to bring others, and drop in whenever you can. Contact Kevin Greene.
Monthly men’s fellowship, including dinner and a time of teaching. There is no charge for the evening and every man is welcome. If you have any questions or would like to receive men’s ministry emails, contact Bill Chippendale.
WEPC Fellowship Hall. A gathering of women who meet with Jesus Christ through Bible study, prayer, and fellowship with one another. All women are invited. Contact Pam Hoade.

Join us for a unique presentation of The Gospel of Luke and hear the story of Jesus told with the passion and surprise of an eyewitness account. Performed word-for-word by veteran Broadway actor Bruce Kuhn without props or sets, the King James Version text of Luke takes to the stage like Shakespeare. Kuhn has performed on Broadway (Les Misérables) and national touring musicals and is in the resident company of the Actor’s Theatre of Louisville (one of America’s largest professional theaters). This 90-minute show is recommended for ages 11 and up. Tickets are $10 for Adults, and $7 for Students and Seniors. Contact Tiffanie Chan. Over the summer, we will be reading and discussing the book Why We Pray by William Philips. All women are welcome to join us in our discussion every Tuesday morning from 10:00-11:30 AM in Room 160 starting June 30th. The time will be facilitated by Mary McWhorter and Karen Howe. This July, all rising 4th & 5th Graders are invited to join the Brown family for dinner at their home every Thursday night. We will meet five times (July 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th) from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. We will have dinner, a Bible Study, and some play time. The study will be designed to look at the basics of the Christian faith and what it means to worship Jesus (using Rico Tice’s book Christianity Explored to structure the study). To ensure there is enough space and food, please RSVP to Joe at joe@wepc.org.

Saturday, July 18th at 9:00AM, we plan to travel to the Virginia Aquarium (717 General Booth Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA 23451). We will travel two hours to the Aquarium, spend our day there enjoying the Aquarium and an IMAX movie, and if there is time, exploring the VA Beach Boardwalk. We plan to arrive home between 6:00 and 7:00PM. For only $10/person, this gets you the price of admission to the Aquarium, the IMAX movie, lunch and dinner. You can’t find a better deal! 🙂 We are still working on transportation. We may all caravan down there, or we may reserve a van or bus, but that depends on how many can come. Please RSVP by June 30th to ffl@wepc.org if you are able to come.
Some time in August, we plan to take a group to the Diamond to catch the Flying Squirrels. Date TBD.

Join us for a rip roaring time in the Wild, Wild
West! Sunday, June 21 through Wednesday,
June 24, 5:30 – 8:00 PM. Ages 4-years-old through rising 5th graders. Volunteers needed. Contact Alexis Tompkins [vbs@wepc.org] to lend a hand.

What are you doing this Summer? Well,Track Club is back and we would love to invite you to join our track club team this summer. Track club is a ministry to kids in the neighborhood. Starting June 29th until August 13, we will take kids from our neighborhood to Collegiate track for a track practice.
We teach them running techniques, running forms, and share the Gospel message with them. The ideal commitment is every Monday and Thursday evenings from 5:30-7:45 p.m. Leaders and volunteers are needed to transport kids to and from track. We also need people to sign up to share a 10-15 minutes Gospel message each week. If you think this is something you can do this summer please let us know and join our track team. Many learning English-speakers and veteran English-speakers will be reading slowly through Genesis 1-3 together this summer. If you would like to help others learn to read English through Scripture, the more the merrier! Led by Shangwok Deng (shangwok@wepc.org) and Mary McWhorter (marymcw1@gmail.com). Childcare will be provided for rising Kindergarten and under. Please RSVP if childcare will be needed.
Are you looking for a family-friendly mission opportunity this summer right here at home? CARITAS (Congregations Around Richmond Involved To Assure Shelter) is the area’s largest and most inclusive emergency shelter and relies on the generosity of local congregations to physically house, feed and provide basic necessities for those in need. We have the opportunity to keep homeless families together by making WEPC their home for the week. This is a wonderful opportunity for all of WEPC to work together to express the body of Christ by caring for homeless families in our area.

My child, in consideration for being accepted and allowed to participate in the ministries of West End Presbyterian Church, Richmond, VA (9008 Quioccasin Road, Richmond, VA 23229, 804-741-6562) and activities (collectively, the “Activities”) associated with its program and location, has my permission to attend and participate in the Activities. I understand the Activities may include, but are not limited to, sports, games, trips for parks, and neighborhood parties. I represent that my child is healthy and capable of participation in the Activities without causing risk of danger, illness or accident to him or herself, or to others. Further, I, the undersigned, do hereby release, hold harmless, and forever discharge all staff members, sponsors, volunteers and counselors of West End Presbyterian Church, Richmond, as well as the Church itself and its trustees, staff, elders and deacons, from any and all claims, demands, actions or causes of action, past, present, and future, arising out of any damage or injury to my child or my property while participating in any of the Activities.
I also give my permission and consent for the staff members, sponsors, volunteers and counselors in charge of the Activities to obtain any necessary medical attention for my child in case of sickness, injury, or emergency. Worship Arts Directors Taylor Barnett and Tiffanie Chan are heading up a concert of Christ-centered, traditional Christmas hymns performed in a fresh, new way by some of the best jazz musicians in Richmond. Bring your friends and family! Proceeds will benefit Crossover Healthcare.
A celebration of Christmas with our friends from the Nepalese, Latino, and Sudanese fellowships. We will sing hymns and hear Scripture in several languages. If you are interested in helping, please contact Denise Spoenlein.
